Luke 12:6-7
Are not five sparrows sold for two pennies? Yet not one of them is forgotten by God. Indeed, the very hairs of your head are all numbered. Don't be afraid; you are worth more than many sparrows.
The context of today's verse is not just Jesus telling us how special we are to God. He is giving us this verse as a word to remember that when we suffer while doing the work of the Father, he is there for us.

It goes right along with the words given to God's people in the wilderness: "The LORD himself goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged." Deuteronomy 31:8
In Matthew 6:26 Jesus also said "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they?"
So remember, in a moment of despair, when you think all odds are stacked against you, he accounts for every single hair on your head and he will not forsake you. You ARE special to Him! He WILL empower you to do His work, just follow His guidance.

Thanks for the great encouragement! I have struggled really hard for the past ten years with my walk with the Lord and at times have wondered where he was or even if he existed! Yet in this season I see that he was right there all the time and was planning and preparing me for this and the next seasons of my life. When you break your arm and it is not set properly and the healing is hindered with a crooked shape. They break it again and then reset it so it can be healed properly. Ouch! With physical therapy you can regain the mobility you once had even in the case of my brother who broke his elbow as a teen and was told he would never have full range of motion in that arm, meaning he could never bend it all the way out. When he worked hard at it to bend it and not rely on there prognosis he can bend it even further than you or I. It bends down past his normal range of motion. Looks kind of creepy but way past the point he was told he could never, never achieve.
