The blood of our solidiers.

Philippians 1:21
To me, to live is Christ and to die is gain.

Who do you live for? Who will you die for? This verse makes me think of the thousands of young Americans who are in our military. I'm sure that many of them know this verse well, and they live and die by it.

They submit their lives for their country, "one nation under God." Every time they go out on patrol they go against the grain of self preservation and are willing to be in harms way for a cause much greater than them.

For those of us back in the mother land, we should think about this when we step out of our homes every day. We should think not only how we honor God but how do we make sure the blood of our soldiers is not shed in vein?

The freedom they secure is not freedom to do whatever the hell we want but the freedom to worship God with all our hearts, our minds, our souls and our strength.
