Take a seat please.

Psalm 16:8
I have set the Lord always before me. Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

I was riding the bus the other day and it was standing room only. Shortly before getting on the bus I was thinking a could do some reading.
But as I entered the door, I almost didn't fit and there was hardly any handlebar to grab. I think of the uncomfortable feeling it was every time the bus changed speed or moved side to side.

This verse tells an opposite story of how God's mighty hand holds us strong and we cannot be shaken. Lots of people go through life like a bus rider with nothing to hold onto. The smallest change of speed or direction gives them that uneasy feeling of insecurity.

The same is for our spiritual ride, you can relax and take a seat on the mighty secure hand of our Lord or you can stand and try to balance yourself without His help.

Take a seat please.
