Let's move on from child's play!

Psalm 138:8
The Lord will fulfill his purpose for me; your love, O Lord, endures forever -- do not abandon the works of your hands.

Do you feel that you are the work of His hands? Ephesians 2:10 says "For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them."

Imagine that, he created each and everyone of us for a specific purpose. I believe we often don't even realize what great things we are supposed to do for Him. People can be devout Christians going to church every Sunday but never even come close to what God wanted them to do.

Eugene Peterson captures this in his Message translation of Hebrews 6 where he helps us understand the grandeur of the work we have in front of us.

"So come on, let's leave the preschool fingerpainting exercises on Christ and get on with the grand work of art. Grow up in Christ."

So what do you say?

Let's get out of the playground and move on to the serious work our Lord wants us to do!
