Go tell your Father.

Leviticus 19:18
Do not seek revenge or bear a grudge against one of your people, but love your neighbor as yourself. I am the Lord.

Remember the saying "don't get mad, get even"? Just another lie ingrained in our hearts when we were children. It reminds me of "sticks and stone will hurt my bones but words will never hurt me." How terribly untrue these words are.

Imagine if an adult hurt one of your children. How ridiculous would it be for your child to seek revenge and try to hurt the adult himself? Instead, your child would tell you about it and you would take care of the situation.

So when we are wounded, do we harbor bitterness and anger? Do we plot against the offender so that he can suffer a wound in revenge? Or do we go tell our Father in heaven so he can take care of things?

Go tell your Father!
