Romans 15:5-6
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus, so that with one heart and mouth you may glorify the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ.
This message is to all of us! Lutherans, Methodists, Pentacostals, Baptists, Catholics, Anglicans, etc.
The day we live by this verse when we are asked what we are we will no longer say "am a Lutheran" or whatever denomination you belong to. Instead we will say "I follow Christ Jesus therefore I'm a Christian."
Think about it, will the "spotless bride" have a Lutheran arm, a Pentecostal leg, a Baptist shoulder, etc? That's a ridiculous idea.
How can there be a spirit of unity among ourselves when the spirit of denomination and division is still alive and well?
What are you?
