Quick, slow, slow

James 1:19
My dear brothers, take note of this: Everyone should be quick to listen, slow to speak and slow to become angry.

While this verse is very practical we are so prone to do the exact opposite.

We can go back to Proverbs for some help in this department: death and life are in the power of your tongue and you shall eat the fruit of it.

If we think of that before we open our mouths it will change our speech! The bottom line, do we speak death or life into situations?

Then there is anger. God is sure slow to anger with us! Maybe we should be more like him!
